RainFire offers full service radio promotions for both online stations and terrestrial FM stations. We provide you with weekly reports reflecting comments from programmers and tracking of spins obtained not only from the stations but also from industry monitored websites: R&R, Mediabase, CMJ, and FMQB.

Ready to get started…so how does it work? First we need to get your music. We do not accept all material. We are interested in promoting great music that is retail ready. When we say retail ready we mean the music has been professionally mixed and mastered and “sounds” like music you would typically hear on the radio. Many artist sacrifice too many budget dollars to other areas and usually look for a cheap way to master just to get it done. We recommend finding the best mastering studio to achieve that true professional sound. RainFire has an affiliated mastering studio, XARC Mastering. They offer an option for you to upload your song and get an idea what it would sound like after mastering.
After you submit your music to us we will review it, and if accepted, we will call you for a short consultation to confirm your submission and answer any questions you may have. If all is good, we will then encode your music with the necessary monitoring companies based upon the type of package you selected. This process takes 24 hours to complete (excluding weekends). An official Going For Adds date will be set-up for your release (this is typically one week after we receive your music), this will notify radio station programmers of our interest to have your music added to rotation.
Next, we will digitally deliver your broadcast quality MP3 (256 kbps or better) to the station panels you selected for airplay consideration on your Add date. Your music will be saved on our servers where radio station programmers will have access to it at anytime during your campaign. To get more information on how all this works view the Radio FAQ page.
Our team will follow-up with programmers with both phone calls and emails to reconfirm they have your music and are considering it for airplay. An additional e-blast of your music will be sent to station programmers one week after the Add date as a reminder of your music and to re-emphasize direct visibility and awareness.
You will receive weekly tracking reports (BDS / Mediabase or DigitalRadioTracker (DRT) Report) either on Mondays or Tuesdays depending on the type of campaign selected. These reports will include the stations that added your music to rotation, the number of spins you received for the week, total spin count per station and much more! That’s it!
Our packages are for online stations like Live365, AOL, Pandora, On Demand, Rhapsody, Yahoo, MTV & Shoutcast Radio Broadcasters. But why not “regular” radio? You first have to understand how radio works. Sending Cd’s to PD’s and MD’s usually is costly and benefits little. Radio is a microcosm all within itself. Radio airplay is based largely on business relationships. Also many of the larger markets want to see a radio story before they will consider playing you, let alone add you to the playlist. However the internet is like the wild west, still an open plane for progression in free expression. This is where we come in. We have the business relationships to get your music played across many of these online stations.
